Geography for Grade 11

This course explores the dynamic processes that shape our planet and the complex interactions between humans and the environment. Students will investigate the formation of continents and the forces that drive geological change. The course will also explore the critical issues of natural resource management and the conflicts that arise over their exploitation. Students will analyze global population dynamics, including population growth, distribution, and the challenges associated with rapid urbanization. Furthermore, the course will examine the relationship between geography and economic development, exploring factors that influence economic growth and the spatial distribution of economic activities. Students will investigate major global environmental changes, including climate change, deforestation, and pollution, and analyze their impacts on ecosystems and human societies. Finally, the course will introduce students to the concepts of geo-spatial information and data processing, including the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies.
